For my wife

My Dearest Colleen,

I know you are working through a time of great difficulty with a great many things, but I want to remind you, the woman I love with all my heart,  in all that happens in our life you are a bright spot.  Even on the darkest days, you are still and will always be my Sunshine. 

You do not have to do anything specifically to be special to me.  It is not what you do, how much money you make, how joyous and bubbly you act, or any other measurement using an artificially created ruler that makes our relationship amazing.  A simple "you" and "me" is all it takes.  And in those two little words, 5 letters (of which I can usually spell correctly) is a reality that fills me with joy, with love, and with hope.
